Features of the MLCP
The parking space covers an area of 2.5 lakh square feet with the facility to accommodate 2150 cars, almost double as compared to the previous capacity of 1200 cars. It has five Electric Vehicle charging stations, three in the west section and two in the east.
Future Facilities
The multi-level car parking will have a five-screen multiplex, food courts, different eateries and restaurants and also facilities for engaging children. The space has been constructed and is being maintained by Meenambakkam Realty with the commercial and retail part of the MLCP managed by the Olympia Group
Airports Authority of India
The manager of corporate communications at the operations department of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Vishnudas L., has assured that the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to long wait queues and the toll booth charges is regretted. He added that a proposal to increase the number of toll booths and decrease the checkpoints at the driveway leading up to the terminals has been made. Alternative solutions for the traffic congestion are also being looked at.
